Snowed Under!

I love my A-Levels but as you would expect there is a lot of homework:
  • Why did the Liberals win a landslide election in 1906?
  • Write an Autobiography
  • Write an article for a newspaper
  • Write a speech
  • Read Jane Eyre

And the list goes on... However it is fun and I couldn't have asked for a better course.

Guardian Angel feast day!

(Picture from- The Angels book by Fr. Lovasik)
I always feel sorry for my Guardian Angel as I always forget to talk to him. Having said that since going to college, I have tried to make more of an effort!
Ever since 2001, at secondary school I have always liked to hold my Guardian Angel's hand. He always used to hold mine whenever I was upset or having a bad day. It is a weird...no, unusual feeling. It is a firm grip, that is so comforting. It never fails to make me feel better! (I tried holding St Wenceslas' hand on Wednesday. (St Wenceslas is one of the saints that I like to view as my Older Brother...I just need to find some Older Sisters). It was equally firm but slightly heavier, more human. I want to try holding, Jesus' hand next.
I also like the idea of asking your Guardian Angel, if you can call him by a name, that makes it easier for you to talk to him. It must be really sad to protect someone and not to have that person talk to you or say thanks...eek, I really should try harder!!!
Story:
I know a teenage girl who found it difficult to say the Rosary. Not only that but she would make excuses to avoid saying it- a missed appointment or that her homework was due in the next day (she never did her homework!) To sum it up, she found it boring.
Then one day, she felt inspired to say just 1 Rosary on her way to college. It was dark and cold September morning, the last thing she wanted to do was say a Rosary but almost when she sat down, she pulled out her Rosary beads and began to pray.
After a while she began to feel sleepy and would start to nod off but every time she did, the bus appeared to brake hard and she would wake up. After about the third or fourth time that she almost fell asleep, she heard a voice whisper, "Pray with me." In her minds eye, she saw her Guardian Angel sitting opposite her with his Rosary beads.
Not only that, but she found that her day went much better because of it. She still trys to pray the Rosary on a morning.
I kid you not! This is a true story. By no means dramatic, but it is true
